1. How does the Tesla Screen hook up to my car?

Most of our looms/connectors are prepped to be a 'Plug N Play' style, ensuring for an easy-to-do installation. There is no cutting or splicing with our screens. Hence, factory connectors will go to your Tesla Screen. Note: On some of our new products, some minor wiring may be required.

2. Do you provide Support or Technical Assistance?
Yes, we certainly do! Contact us at support@carputech.com and our Customer Service Team would be happy to assist you with troubleshooting or install assistance - both through email, WhatsApp and/or 1o1 Video Call!
3. How can you ensure that Carputech products will work with my car?
To ensure compatibility, after your purchase we will request a photo of your car's existing radio, as well as your A/C control panel. We then use these photos to run extensive compatibility checks. This ensures that our screen is fully compatible with your car!
4. Can I do a DIY install?

Yes! You sure can! We provide install guides and videos for customers who wish to do a DIY install. We even provide you with the opportunity of adding a DIY Tool Kit to your order, so you have everything you need for the DIY installation!

5. Does my existing factory radio have to be working for your screen to work?
Yes, the existing factory radio system must be fully working in order for our screen to work.
6. How long does it take before I get my screen?
Generally, it takes 1-3 business days for us to verify and prepare your unit. Following this, your product should reach you within 5-8 business days. Please note that we only start our compatibility and verification checks once we receive all requested information (such as dashboard photos, existing radio specifications etc.). As such, we will start counting our Processing, Handling and Shipping time once we receive this.
7. Does the Tesla Screen include full touch screen capabilities?

Yes! All our Tesla-style Carplay Screens are manufactured to have touch capabilities!

8. Can I use the factory/OEM Controls & Buttons of my Tesla Screen?
Yes! Absolutely! When we designed our Tesla-style Screens their main intention was to allow users to enjoy aftermarket features while maintaining their vehicle factory features. Note: Please check the section "Retained Factory Functions" to see all the specific functions that are retained for your vehicle. If in doubt about a specific factory function that is not mentioned there, just ask us and we will confirm it for you!
9. Will my factory cameras work like normal? (Reverse, 360, BirdsEye)
Yes! Same behaviour as it would from factory. Nothing changes. Your factory cameras will still override anything on the screen.
Just another great feature that Carputech products allow you to keep, without the need of cutting, rewiring or any of the sorts.
 Note: Some vehicles have different signals and may require hardwiring.
10. Does the Tesla Screen work while the vehicle is moving?
Yes! All of our products have built-in motion bypass, so you do not need to worry about any anti-brake bypass or coding. Our products will still provide their wonderful features, while the car is still moving!
11. Can I listen to Factory Radio & use Carplay/Android Auto, at the same time?
Yes! You will be able to select the audio channel whilst selecting whichever screen you prefer to look at.
Example: You may switch the display to the WAZE app through Apple CarPlay, while the audio channel is kept on the factory radio station channeling.
Note: Some of our products have the radio and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto built in on the same audio channel.
12. How do I get a consistent internet connection with your products?
There are THREE ways of getting a consistent internet connection on our products.
1. Any Wi-Fi connection
2. Phone hotspot
3. Using a SIM Card (Tesla Screen has a SIM Card Holder)
13. My car is in a different language, will it still work?

Yes! Languages on factory vehicles are seperate to our products. Our products will still work with your Vehicle. You may also select your own language on Apple CarPlay & Android auto (Through your phone)

14. My factory Bluetooth is terrible, does this fix it?
Yes! Our products do not replace your factory Bluetooth connections, but instead will provide an improved new bluetooth connection!
Once connected to our bluetooth connection, your phone will then transfer audio and image, to our products, which then, displays on your vehicle screen.
15. Do you provide a new microphone?
Some of our Tesla Screens will use your existing microphone, others, we will provide a high quality aftermarket microphone for improved microphone performance.
16. Is anything in my vehicle jeopardised?
No! Our system allows you to switch back and forth with a click of button. Wether you'd like to choose our system or the factory system for a specific trip, you're welcome to do that! It acts like a Desktop/Background Switcher! This system is another great reason, to not void any warranty from your dealerdship!
17. If my factory screen is damaged/doesn´t work, will the Tesla Screen fix it?
No. The Tesla Screen connects to your factory screens operating system. If the factory screen does not work or is damaged the Tesla Screen won't fix it. It's necessary that the factory screen works normally for the Tesla Screen to also work normaly.
If however, the factory screen is only cracked, but the system itself still works and displays, then the Tesla Screen will indeed work properly, as the operating system of the car still works.
18. If my sound system is damaged or doesn't work properly, will the Tesla Screen fix it?
Sadly no! The Tesla Screen connects to your factory screen and the entirety of the vehicles system. If some component of it does not work properly, then the Tesla Screen will also not work properly under that specific part of the vehcile. It's necessary that the sound system works normally for the Tesla Screen to also work normaly.
